We love it here! Danielle has been so wonderful in getting us moved in and fixing all of our problems since day one. The maintenance staff is very fast and nice as well.
Maintenance man was amazing. Friendly and knew what to fix exactly on broken washing machine. Thank you for your service and friendly front office :)
I initially moved here because the office staff was amazing and Willow Creek was conveniently close to ASU Tempe where I went to school. Some of the office staff now are friendly while some lack people skills, and they don't address your issues and will encourage you to leave if you're that unhappy here. There are too many fees and my rent jumped $100 in two years. I would definitely give a 5 star rating to maintenance. Whenever I did have a request, it was taken care of in just a few hours. Also the property itself is always kept up and looks nice on the outside. Every review about this apartment should be read and taken into serious consideration. I didn't believe the bad reviews when I was getting ready to move here, and now I understand where those former residents were coming from. There are additional pros and cons listed below. Pros: Spacious, the section I lived in was very clean, outside storage (but be cautious during the summer), about a 10-15 minute drive to ASU Tempe depending on what part of campus you have to go to, city bus stop not too far as you walk out of the property, maintenance is quick with orders, tons of guest parking, 3 pools and a hot tub, the only issue with WiFi I ever had was when I first moved here in the summer of 2018 and a monsoon knocked the power out, packages are safe inside lockers (can be extremely helpful in the summer, plus you have a few days to get your package). Some of the office staff can be very pleasant. Cons: Some rude office staff, too many additional fees, residents don't always pick up after their pets, some sort of plumbing issue so water is turned off at least once a month, rent may jump quite a bit with a new lease, you get charged extra for paying online, the lockers for the packages are an additional fee and depending on who you order from they won't go into that locker room or they'll leave your packages on the floor of that room (but you're still being charged)
I didn't hate living at Willow Creek. I had a remodeled apartment which was incredibly nice. If I ever had issues, maintenance was quick to resolve them. The office responds quickly to calls/emails. Why not 5 stars you ask? 1. I could never wrap my head around the CAM & water fees (especially during the months the amenities were closed). My water + CAM bill was consistently more expensive than my electric bill. 2. Some residents. Some people sit outside all day and stare at you while you get in and out of your car, weird. Some residents don't pick up after their dogs (don't walk through the grass, like ever). Some drive through the parking lot revving engines and blasting music at all speeds and hours of the night. 3. All of the little fees added to your rent. Take your base rent and add $150. 4. I have no idea what kind of plumbing issues this property has, but expect a leak to occur and your water to get shut off at least once a month. 5. Amazon will cancel your package if you aren't very specific about how to enter the parcel room. I asked them to deliver to my door on a day I was home and my package was canceled.
