Vermont, Alaska, and Maine were the three most effective states in responding to the coronavirus pandemic last year, a new analysis by UC Berkeley’s Othering & Belonging Institute has found. The study reveals that the COVID response from Arizona was one of the worst. The study ranks Arizona at No. 47 out of 50 states for its COVID response, due in part to the significant racial and ethnic disparities in rates of infection, hospitalization and deaths.!
